  • A web3 festival for everyone. Featuring the ‘WILD & NEWFANGLED’ Collection by mowna on OBJKTONE.

    Exhibited — ‘Medusa Uncut’

    7 JUL - 8 JUL

  • The Wild & Newfangled exhibition is a collaboration between objkt.one, the Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art, and fifteen preeminent artists minting work on the Tezos blockchain. The works that are made available in this Wild & Newfangled drop are an extension of both the modern and contemporary art movements. These wild 1/1's are a continuation of the strong history of both physical and digital art, while allowing for a diverse range of new(fangled) gestures to be included.

Digital art is now flowing between the museum space, gallery space, and Web3 on the currents of blockchain. Slowly non-fungible tokens are rolling into galleries and being donated to large institutions such as the Centre Pompidou and LACMA. Exhibitions of digital art by the Whitney Museum and generative art by LACMA are attracting large audiences with work that is both wild and newfangled. With the seas of the art world disrupted by this tsunami wave of Web3 it is time to embrace all that is wild and newfangled within us and around us.

  • An exhibition created by theVERSEverse in collaboration with L' Avant Galerie and Librairie Métamorphoses

In October-November 2022, the Avant Galerie Vossen organized POÈME OBJKT, the first stage of a project articulated around the founding members of the poetic and artistic collective theVERSEverse, as well as some of their relatives (aurèce vettier, Ross Goodwin, Campbell McGrath or Robness).

The exhibition focused on the links of this movement with contemporary art confronted with AI, NFTs and new digital creative practices.

In the summer of 2023, in POÈME SBJKT, the second part of what is currently presented as a diptych, poetry and writing generated (or augmented) by AI are in the spotlight. The event takes place at the Librairie galerie Métamorphoses, whose interests lie precisely at the crossroads of writing and the arts, and which for the first time, under the leadership of TheVERSEverse and the Avant Galerie Vossen, approaches poetry generated and its visual extensions.

This meeting of poet-artists and artist-poets whose works question, subvert and (re)generate language, allows us to grasp the extent to which new media participate in the creation of a contemporary writing which, by blurring the borders – between poetic subjectivity and digital materiality, art and literature, space and spirit, value and sharing – mixes traditional practices and those generated by AI by perpetuating them with a new support: the blockchain.

  • Wonder Fair 6.0 Digital Twin explores duality in its many forms. The rise of the digital twin in technology, where there now exists a representation and virtual model simulation of real-world physical objects, is explored and juxtaposed with concepts like the alter ego, and the persona we reflect both in the real world and the virtual space. Humans are no longer just who they appear to be in the physical world, but instead are multi-dimensional with various existing identities, including the curated social media persona, the anonymous avatar and self-appointed handle living in the virtual world, and then the real in the flesh version of the self.

Curated by Lena Viddo, Danniel Swatosh, and James Halldon, Wonder Fair 6.0 Digital Twin is a multi-media artist showcase exhibiting the work of over 70+ artists featuring NFTs, painting, sculpture, photography, light sculpture, and performance art.

  • EPOCH is proud to present, XENOSPACE, a ground-breaking and experimental virtual exhibition that features seven artists exploring the collaborative boundaries of artificial intelligence and machine learning in their creative processes.

The title “XENOSPACE” alludes to an unusual or unfamiliar environment. Upon entering the exhibition, visitors are transported to the virtual “non-space” of a server room. This 360-degree panorama serves as the “initial image” that is processed through Stable Diffusion, generating the subsequent AI-assisted environments that serve as the backdrop for the artworks. As viewers navigate the installations, they will experience a disorienting and uncanny repetition that challenges their familiar frame of reference.

XENOSPACE responds to a significant moment in the field, as it reflects on the growing relationship between humans and machines and the impact of AI on creative expression. The exhibition serves as a benchmark, showcasing the expansive collaborative potential of AI and machine learning in contemporary art practices and exhibition building.

The tomb guardians of ancient China have long conjured alluring images of otherworldly beings and spiritual warfare. Traditionally buried within imperial tombs as late as the Tang Dynasty (618-907), these iconographic sculptures summon the power of divine and earthly elements to ward off demons as well as keep the souls of the deceased from wandering the earth. Taking the form of mythological beasts or divine warriors, the guardians evolved over time to incorporate fierce bestial symbolism, mythological elements, and spiritual triumph over vanquished demons.

In Rite of Passage, Connie harnesses AI machine vision to negotiate the relationship between human memory and digital archive, shifting cultural information and representation between different states of reality. The resulting machine permutations are echoes of the originals, connecting human imagination across centuries of time, technology, and culture.
