DEFRAGMENTUM contemplates a post-human world in which the machine creates in its own image. A compendium of species that are/aren’t, were/weren’t, will/will never be, the series lives in XENOGENESIS, a world that exists long after humanity has become extinct. The work continues to build on a collaborative inquiry between artist and AI around diasporic histories, fragmented memory, and the persistence of data.
